The Pit

Ravel

Terms of Service

Draft: takes effect when the store opens. This text is a plain-language draft and may change before then.

1. Who we are

Ravel (“we”, “us”) runs The Pit, a tabletop arena game played on a shared screen with each player’s phone as a controller, at ravelrpg.com, app.ravelrpg.com and table.ravelrpg.com (together, the “Service”). [Legal entity name and address: to be added.]

2. The game and accounts

You need an account to play. You can sign in with Google or with an email address. Keep your sign-in details safe and do not share them; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.

3. The host licence

A host buys the game once. That purchase gives the host a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service to run sessions of The Pit for entertainment at their own table. Players the host invites play free; they need an account but do not need to buy anything. The licence does not let you resell, sublicense or share the Service, or use it commercially.

4. Acceptable use

Play fair and be kind. Do not cheat the server or try to get around its rules or limits. Do not abuse, threaten or harass other players. Do not reverse engineer the Service, or access it with bots, scrapers or other automated means.

5. Your content

You may enter names, portraits and similar content for your Vessels and campaigns. You are responsible for it, and it must not be offensive, unlawful or someone else’s. We may remove content we consider offensive, and we may act on the account that added it.

6. Availability and changes

The Pit is in early access. We may change, pause or stop parts of the Service, including rules, features and content, and we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults.

7. Refunds

To be decided before launch.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or harm other players or the Service. [What happens to purchases and campaigns when an account ends: to be added.]

9. No warranty and limits of liability

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or progress. Nothing in these terms limits any right or liability that cannot be limited by law. [Governing law and jurisdiction: to be added.]

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date on this page and, for material changes, tell you before they apply. Using the Service after a change means you accept it.
